Google Chrome has introduced a new experimental feature powered by Gemini’s AI that helps users write or enhance texts based on the content of web pages. This feature, called “Help Me Write,” is currently only available to English Chrome users in the United States and can be accessed through the stable M122 version of the browser.

“Help Me Write” aims to offer tips for writing short content, such as filling out digital surveys and reviews, inquiring about products, or writing descriptions for items for sale online.

Similar to other tools offered by competitors, such as Microsoft’s Copilot, the tool is able to understand the context of the web page we are visiting, thus being able to identify the most relevant information and offer the right suggestions.

The feature can also turn a short, concise message into a more professional request, ready to be shared. For example, it can turn a “I want a refund” into “I kindly ask if I can receive a refund for my recent purchase, which doesn’t match the description,” or other similar examples.

To use “Help Me Write”, interested users must activate the “Experimental AI” features within Chrome, where they will be able to find “Help me write” among the options offered (remember once again that it is not available from us for now). Finally, simply right-click on a text field on any web page to use the feature.

Google warns users not to provide personal information and not to use it on websites containing personal or sensitive information. However, the company says Chrome will not use that information for model training purposes.

Recall that it is news of the last few hours that Gemini is facing some problems, and the most recent concerns the generation of images: Google has decided to temporarily suspend the function of generating images of people following the discovery of some historical inaccuracies in the images generated by the model.
