The app typically costs $104.90 for iPhone and iPad, but is free for a limited time. With it, you can see in augmented reality the organs and tissues of the human body realistically, performing a virtual dissection, that is, it is not for those who can not stand to see blood, surgeries or even medical serials!
Are you interested in medicine or are you fascinated by the human body? If the answer is “yes”, check out the “Dissection Master XR” application. The app can be downloaded for free and usually costs $ 104.90 in the App Store.
Why it’s worth downloading dissection Master XR
I installed Dissection Master XR on an iPad and played around a bit with the app. It’s not quite something I recommend around breakfast time: the level of detail of tissues and organs comes to scare, especially since you can switch between seven levels of “layers” to select from the slider to the right of the screen.
The Dissection Master XR shows a detailed body scan/©
The captures on this page give a notion of the level of detail in the app. Unfortunately, dissection master xr currently offers only a preview of the upper torso of the body, with no other parts available. The developer posted on the AppStore that an eighth level will be added soon.
Other than that, an interesting resource for medical students and for those who are particularly interested is that you can display more information about muscles, tendons and other details.
The rest of the functions are not very extensive. You can take photos and videos and move the 3D model into space. On the other hand, I couldn’t find any advertising in the app under iOS and also no in-app purchases were offered. If you’re interested in medicine and aren’t bothered by the realism level of the images, download the app before it gets paid again.
Is the download safe?
After installing the application, Dissection Master XR, of course, asks for access to your camera. You don’t need to create an account or grant any other permission. Data protection information is clear and, in addition to access to the camera, does not present controversial points.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t install the app on Android because Fairphone 4 is not compatible. The Exodus website also did not return any analysis of the included trackers, yet data protection policies apply to both iOS and Android. If you find something that catches your eye, feel free to let us know in the comments!
Did you like Dissection Master XR or did you find the app too realistic for your stomach? Don’t go out preaching scares with screenshots of the device in the family group huh!
