Ready for Android, get ready for emoji audio. Sure, it is an utterly confusing novelty to say the least not speaking of the potentially negative impact on the health and safety of the inhabitants.
Somewhere shortly, a button, on an Android based smartphone, that makes a fart sound. No less! According to 9to5Google, Android users included in the beta updates channel have realised a new menu in calls made using the Google Phone application. Dubbed “Audio Emoji,” this is a new mini-features that is triggered by pressing a special button and after this, the caller and the person on the other end of the line hears short six different sounds.
It seems that emoji audio is preparing the run on Android
The six effects in question are: clapping, laughing, congratulating, sad trombone, “ba dum tss” and, because. .. Why not a fart sound, that is more like a human… The only way that one can relate the use of the word ‘emoji’ in the title is that the buttons to these sound effects are emoji.
The audio emoji also contain small movements for the sound, for example a ‘chocolate ice creem’ falling down to the ground , srounded by flies – this was rather successful. It is obvious that this effect is linked to the emoji populating the Internet recently: But it appears that only the sender gets these animations, although, the recipient could also have it if they have engaged the audio emoji.
Of course, as you can see, there are some questions that still don’t have an answer in connection with this new feature. The truth in this regard will only emerge once the feature will be deployed further and/or when Google will publicly comment on the issue.
Quite unclear and rather an oddity, to say the least
In case finding this Emoji Audio menu on your phone and you do not want to see a poop emoji on your screen during your calls, you can turn the menu off by following a step and tapping on the “X” in the right corner. It is also not very clear I this also disallows your contacts from supplying you these sound effects.
Anyway, there is also minimum time gap between two emoji. Thus, you no longer need to fear that the individual calling you will hit you up with the sounds of a fart, followed by the sound of a sad paper clip and then a ba dum tss.
Software and physical products event related to Google is Google I/O 2024, STL which is going to start in a few days. One can only hope that the Mountain View company has some better plan to offer.
