In an interview with the Max Tech youtube channel, Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman talked about Apple and the Cupertino company’s plans for the next Mac Pro, a product much awaited by the public and insiders that will substantially complete the transition from Intel processors to Apple Silicon SoCs.
The details shared are not many and in reality do not differ much from what the analyst had already predicted at the beginning of the year, namely a launch of the new Apple Mac Pro with M2 SoC by the end of 2022. In the course of the discussion, Gurman says that Apple had a Mac Pro M1 “ready to use” already several months ago, however the company wanted to wait for the arrival of the renewed M2, probably to give another imprint to the presentation of the new generation of Mac Pro.
Apple Mac Pro M2 is currently expected by the end of the year, however Gurman expects the actual availability to be postponed to early 2023; always with regard to the new Mac Pro, the design may not be very different from the current one but with smaller dimensions.
In the final there is also room for the next generation of Mac Mini, a device that according to Gurman will not receive updates in terms of aesthetics and design, focusing instead on the performance improvement that will guarantee Apple M2.
