Apple’s screen revolution
Apple has been able, in recent years, to close the gap on price differential between Pro and the more traditional iPhone models. While with the iPhone 16 this difference was marginal, which made the starting model at $899 very attractive due to the enhancements.
A ProMotion display for everybody?
According to a recent report by the South Korean media, ETNews, the iPhone 17 could inherit one of the few specificities still reserved for the Pro model: a 120 Hz ProMotion display. According to the report, LTPO panels, low-power displays to be supplied by Samsung and LG, will come as standard with all models of iPhone 2025.
This rumour was actually posted by out of home analyst Ross Young as early as September. He stated that the iPhone non-pro models would for the first time feature 120 Hz displays with the 17 series.
A smoother screen for a better experience
The 120 Hz displays were introduced into the Apple smartphones only in the iPhone 13 Pro of 2021. Under the “ProMotion” brand, they can go up to 120 times per second, up from 60 times before, or twice as smooth is how it appears. This also throws the door for 120 frames per second applications.
Now, it is not yet known that whether the base iPhone 17 and another rumored model iPhone 17 Slim or “Air” also adopt this technology but, overall, this is making these models even more impressive.
Iphone 17 Slim, an iPhone which may be reasonable?
The design of this iPhone I7 is without doubt eye-popping. A huge iPhone with a thin form factor and a 120Hz screen, and a single-lens device? This must be perfect for a number of users, especially if the widely reported colossal price is misinformation.
Without already considering changing phones in September 2025, if the 120 Hz screens are here to stay, when the time comes, this is an option that could attract many customers.
