The Minecraft VR adventure is now over officially for PlayStation.
Minecraft lovers who immersed themselves in the virtual reality game with monster filled pixelated world via PlayStation VR will not have the same opportunity in the near future. In fact, this video game’s developer, Mojang, has announced ceasing support for this platform.
From this case, one can conclude that the decline of a company means the end of an era.
“Our ability to support PlayStation VR has come to an end, and this will no longer receive updates after March 2025,” Mojang announced in the Minecraft update, according to Eurogamer. This implies that those users of PlayStation VR will no longer be able to play the game Minecraft in any of the current versions while wearing the VR headset.
Decision which involve minimal risk
Despite this news may be unpleasant for the true VR lovers, let it be reminded that PSVR integration has been released in 2020 as the update for Minecraft on PS4. That is why there is no analogue to the PS5 and PS VR2 today. It has also defined that the studio will keep updating Minecraft on the PS4 platform as well. Players will be able to keep constructing in their worlds and all their purchases on the Marketplace which include Token, will still be retrievable.

Minecraft losing support for PSVR is a big news by today’s standard, because Minecraft is the biggest selling video game of all time. But for fans, they do not left behind. Indeed, a new way to discover the world of Minecraft is in the works: that is a movie from the game which is planned to come out in April.
