The Xiaomi Mi 11 is already included as part of the Android 12 beta testing program since May. However, it has only recently received an adapted version of MIUI, announced in August (MIUI 12.5 beta). Now, Xiaomi has begun to test the global ROM of MIUI based on Android 12 on the models of the Mi 11 series and you can participate.

Last Wednesday (29), the manufacturer announced that it is looking for beta testers and shared what is needed to be part of the beta testing program of MIUI 12.5 (Global).

First, Xiaomi is recruiting testers for three models: Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 and Mi 11i. So, if you own one of these phones and want to get the new software, you can enroll in the beta program by filling in the Mi Tester Recruitment app. The program is open only to devices running miui’s global ROM.

To find out what region of MIUI your phone runs, follow the step by step below:

  • Open settings;
  • Navigate to Over the phone and see if the MIUI nomenclature
  • If it is written IN or EU, the device is running an Indian or European version of the ROM and therefore cannot participate in the program.

According to Xiaomi, 200 people will be recruited by device, following a first-come, first-served order. If you are interested, you can sign up for the program by filling out a form. Here, you will need to provide your Mi account number, IMEI number and other basic details.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not released a timeline for the release of MIUI based on Android 12 for the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 and Mi 11i models. However, this is a unique opportunity for those living in Brazil to be able to test Android 12 before the official launch, which is expected to take place next month.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is sold in Brazil from R$ 6,599.99. Yes, it is an expensive smartphone to enter into a beta testing program. However, if you are aware of the risks and still want to participate in miui’s beta testing program, the opportunity has been launched.
