The iPhone 13 is an upgrade over the iPhone 12, of which there is no doubt. However, when compared to top-of-the-line devices in the Android ecosystem, hardware and software features are no longer that level. But is this really relevant to the point of undermining the experience with the new generation of the iPhone?
Shall we talk about the elephant in the room? The iPhone 13 is the iPhone 12S. We have a new processor, a larger battery, a camera sensor that captures more light and more storage options. iOS 15 has never been smarter and we have new video features hitherto unheard of in Apple’s iconic series.
Creators in particular may benefit from Cinema Mode, which being hardware-dependent, will not be available in previous generations of the iPhone.

However, in relation to the universe of Android smartphones, the iPhone 13 still sits behind on the screen, wired and wireless charging time, and camera versatility —a telephoto lens would come a lot on this device.
Regarding software, one of the great highlights after video functions are machine learning (ML) features. Apple has never been closer to Google in this regard. The Live Text feature already offers features similar to Google Lens and prevents us from having to use an iPhone as an Android.
However, Apple Maps is still relatively lower than Google Maps, at least outside the U.S. And the native iOS audio recorder still has a lot to evolve to get close to the google pixel line’s native audio recorder, with real-time speech transcription.
Finally, integrating with the Apple device ecosystem makes your iPhone 13 experience even richer. Everything works. What can not yet be replicated in the Android ecosystem, at least not at the same level. And that’s really relevant for those who use Apple Watches, MacBooks, iPads, Apple TV and other services like Apple Music, for example.
Finally, even in relation to the high prices charged in Brazil and the high price of the dollar, Apple announced the new series for a value very close to the launch price of the previous generation. The new iPhone 13 will cost from $ 7,599 in the 128 GB variant. The availability of the series is still unknown in Brazil.
