My Time at Portia is the game of the month of August that I selected and tested for you. First released on consoles and PC, My Time at Portia is now available on Android and iOS for $45 and is heavily inspired by life simulation games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.

After [well deserved] vacation, I’m back to the mobile game of the month column, where I do a full evaluation of an Android and/or iPhone game. You can check out the first article in the series, dedicated to a narrative game from the art studio called Unmaze.

This new episode is dedicated to My Time at Portia,a game developed by Pathea, an independent Chinese studio that mixes many genres, from RPG to life simulator, survival and management. In my opinion, it’s a very good conversion to mobile, offering surprisingly long gameplay for a mobile game and immerses you in a rather immersive open world, all conditioned by an experience that can quickly become “laborious” in the literal sense of the word.
